Description
A painting for the plant and nature lovers! I painted this picture with the idea of combining a traditional still life of a pot plant with a fun surreal twist. I studied a plant in my studio and added a patterned pastel coloured background to uplift it with energy and movement. The curving leaves dance with the background confetti.
The name ‘Wallflower’ came to me as this painting is one of a pair with ‘Party Pot Plant’. I imagined one plant surrounded by confetti at the centre of it’s own party while the other is the ‘Wallflower’ of the party. The pair can complement each other together or equally stand alone in their own right.
