Orla Barry Art Paintings, Prints, Brooches and Cards

Orla Barry is an artist based in Bridge Street Studios, Dundalk. She is inspired by animals, nature, sacred art, mysticism, surrealism, fairy tales, patterns and a search for perfect colour combinations. Orla paints with acrylics and watercolours. Her collection of work includes original paintings, Giclée art prints, brooches and greeting cards. Orla graduated with an honours degree in Fine Art from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2007.

She regularly exhibits her paintings throughout Ireland and has completed residencies at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Monaghan, Cill Rialaig Project, Kerry, Watershed Studios, Galway, Greywood Arts, Cork, Nes Artist Residency, Skagaströnd, Iceland, Stiwdio Maelor, Wales, Cromarty Arts Trust, Scotland and Takahuhti Artcenter, Finland. Two of her paintings are in Taisce Lú, the Visual Art Collection of Louth County Council and The Office of Public Works, Irish State Art Collection. Orla has had solo exhibitions in An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk and Riverbank Arts Centre, Kildare. She was awarded Matthews Arts Showcase in 2015 and won a full ad featuring her painting ‘Meet me Halfway’ on the back of a coach for 6 months.

Orla’s work is available in the gallery at Bridge Street Studios in Dundalk, The Cat and the Moon in Sligo, My Shop…Granny Likes It in Galway, Garrett Mallon Design House in Carlingford, Sevenoaks and Steele in Bray plus many more.
