‘Whole of the Moon’ print

This print came from a series of whale watercolour paintings. I wanted to create a really magical feel with almost ghostly glowing whales in the deep dark sea and stars drifting through the water. Each whale has something in its belly. Here it is a crescent moon and star. The heavens mingle with the sea. A sky within the water, another world within the whale. The title was inspired by the Waterboys song (although it’s really just a slice of a moon in the whale!).
