‘This Owl World’ card

I painted this following a residency in Iceland. I was working in a shared open plan studio, right beside the shore, which had originally been a fish processing plant. The surrounding rocks out at sea and the wildlife influenced me. Birds represent freedom and the link between heaven and earth. The owl symbolises wisdom and the fish are for knowledge and prophecy.
