Description
A painting for the plant and nature lovers! I painted this picture with the idea of combining a traditional still life of a pot plant with a fun surreal twist. I studied a plant in my studio and added a patterned pastel coloured background to uplift it with energy and movement. The curving leaves dance with the background confetti.
The name ‘Party Pot Plant’ came to me as a plant in a pot is so still and steady yet quietly growing away in it’s own way. I found it funny to imagine it as the centre of it’s own party as it has such a quiet energy. This painting is one of a pair with ‘Wallflower’. Together they can complement each other or equally stand alone in their own right.
