Description
I painted this to explore the connections between the group studio I’m based in and the local area. A ceramic bird made by my studio mate Mary Cowan sings out long curling stems of ivy that grow by our fence. It shows the link between the inner studio and outer world. I wanted an almost psychedelic feel to the painting combing bright pink with the greens and baby blue bird.
