Description
‘Annagassan by the Sea’ is based on a calm view from a grassy beach near the port. I’m particularly fond of how this painting feels simple yet evocative of Irish Summers. The kind of scene you might take in while eating a loop de loop whilst still wearing a fleece. There is a little bit of mystery with a path leading off to the peaceful water. Watercolours have a mind of their own sometimes and there are some nice soft bleeds and marks gently breaking up the tranquil sky.
