I painted this during lockdown whilst observing local scenery in my 5km. I was drawn to this proud Calendula flower towering and thriving out of the top of a stony wall surrounding the  old Marist school.

I painted this during lockdown whilst reflecting on photos from places I've visited. The scene is a meadow and barn in Tampere, Finland. I wanted to capture the feeling of a great expanse with a heavy sky pushing down.

I painted this during lockdown whilst observing the local scenery around and about me. I wanted to capture the lush textures of these tufts of grassy marshland with Gorse. I worked from a photo I took by Dundalk bay at the end of the Shore road.

I painted this during lockdown whilst observing local scenery. The view is of the Mourne Mountains cushioned between lush hedgetows on the Shore road in Dundalk.

I painted this during lockdown whilst reflecting back on photos of places I've visited. This is from a photo of the sea at Warrenpint taken on a bluey evening. The blues and lavenders combined with the qute unirish palm trees made me think the view was almost like a tropical dream.
